Are Code Three Trauma Clean technicians qualified to handle biohazard scenes safely?

Yes. The company’s certified biohazard and trauma cleanup professionals are trained in OSHA bloodborne pathogen standards, EPA safety guidelines, and relevant PPE protocols. Cleanup practices also follow OSHA, EPA, and CDC regulatory standards for hazardous-material handling, decontamination, and disposal.

Should I clean blood or bodily fluids before the crew arrives?

Avoid touching or attempting to clean potentially hazardous materials before speaking with a qualified provider. Keep other people away from the affected area, and follow any access instructions from law enforcement or other responsible authorities. The cleanup team can advise you on the next steps for your situation.

Can cleanup prevent contamination from spreading to other rooms?

Technicians assess the affected area and use appropriate PPE and containment practices where needed. The measures depend on the scene and materials present, and the team can explain how it plans to protect unaffected spaces before work begins.

What should I expect after the cleanup is finished?

The team reviews the treated area and explains any remaining considerations. You can ask about documentation for an insurance claim, which may be available for homeowners, business policies, or liability coverage when applicable. Your insurer determines whether a claim is covered.
