Are Code Three Trauma Clean technicians qualified for blood cleanup?

Yes. The company’s certified biohazard and trauma cleanup professionals are trained in OSHA bloodborne pathogen standards, EPA safety guidelines, and relevant PPE protocols. The team is first responder-staffed and follows OSHA, EPA, and CDC regulatory standards for hazardous materials handling, decontamination, and biohazard disposal.

Is professional cleanup safer than trying to clean blood myself?

Professional cleanup is the safer choice when blood or bodily fluids may expose you to a bloodborne hazard. Avoid touching or scrubbing the area, using a household vacuum, or mixing cleaning products. Keep people and pets away and contact the team to discuss the scene.

What should I avoid doing before the cleanup team arrives?

Do not handle contaminated items, scrub visible blood, or use improvised protective gear. Keep others out of the affected area and share any access or safety concerns when you call. If emergency responders are involved, follow their directions first.

Can Code Three Trauma Clean help with insurance paperwork and aftercare questions?

The team can assist with insurance claims and documentation for homeowners, business policies, and liability coverage when applicable. Coverage decisions remain with your insurer. You can also ask the team what work was completed and request available service documentation after the cleanup.

How quickly can the team respond, and how long will cleanup take?

Code Three Trauma Clean offers 24/7 emergency response for urgent trauma and biohazard scenes, including nights and weekends. Arrival and completion timing depend on availability, access, and the size and condition of the affected area. The team can discuss expectations after learning about the scene.
