Is professional drug decontamination safer than a general cleaning service?

A trained biohazard cleanup team is better suited to assess and handle suspected hazardous residue than a general cleaning service. Code Three Trauma Clean’s certified professionals follow OSHA bloodborne pathogen standards, EPA safety guidelines, relevant PPE protocols, and applicable OSHA, EPA, and CDC standards for hazardous-material handling, decontamination, and disposal.

Should I clean or move suspected drug-related materials before the team arrives?

No, avoid disturbing suspected residue or materials and keep people and pets away from the area where practical. Tell the team what you observed and follow their guidance about access and next steps.

What should I do to prepare for a cleanup visit?

You can prepare by sharing access details, identifying the area of concern, and noting any occupants or operational needs. Do not handle materials or try to pre-clean the space; the team can discuss site-specific preparation when you call.

Can you help with insurance paperwork, and how is the cost determined?

Code Three Trauma Clean can assist with insurance claims and documentation when applicable, while the cost depends on the affected area, materials, and work required. Discuss your policy and the site details with the team so they can explain what information may be needed and how the cleanup scope will be assessed.
